The Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Malawi Country Representative, Sekai Mudonhi, has applauded Lusubilo Community Care for its remarkable work in transforming lives of the most vulnerable communities in Karonga, Chitipa and Rumphi Districts.

Mudonhi expressed her admiration at the close of a three-day Bishop’s visit to project implementing areas, which showcased Lusubilo’s life-changing interventions.

During the visit, which was led by Bishop Martin Mtumbuka, Proprietor of Lusubilo Community Care, the delegation toured various project sites, including two IOVCY Project household beneficiaries, School Feeding Program at Kaseye Primary school, SMART Couples Approach lesson and a Reintegration Project beneficiary household.

Reflecting on the visit, Mudonhi said: “I was impressed by the stories I heard from the communities and the support they are receiving from our esteemed partner, Lusubilo. It was truly uplifting to see that the work we are doing is making a difference in people’s lives. We looked at various interventions, and in all of them, we were impressed by the socio-economic transformation taking place.”

She further commended Lusubilo for its dedication to serving hard-to-reach areas, noting: “To be honest, our partner, no wonder they got the award for being the best NGO reaching the back of beyond in the communities. We went to very far places and I really appreciate the work that they are doing to try and reach to those communities that are underserved.”

Mudonhi reaffirmed CRS’s commitment to continue providing technical and financial support to Lusubilo.

The three-day visit highlighted not only Lusubilo’s tangible impact but also the power of faith-based partnerships in driving holistic community development across communities.
