Lusubilo Community Care has provided MK1.3 million to each of 12 youth clubs in Karonga, Chitipa and Rumphi Districts to support youth-led income-generating activities and strengthen the sustainability of the clubs.
The grants were provided to six youth clubs in Chitipa, four in Karonga and two in Rumphi. Through this support, the youth clubs have ventured into various businesses, including fish farming, chicken farming, farm produce vending and other income-generating activities.
Through these investments, the youth clubs are being empowered to generate income, become more self-reliant and build sustainable livelihoods while contributing to the development of their communities.
The support is part of Lusubilo Community Care’s interventions under the IOVCY Project, implemented with financial support from the Coppell Family and technical assistance from Catholic Relief Services (CRS).
